Liverpool vs Red Star of Belgrade
Uefa Champions League 2018/19
Location: Anfield
Date: Wednesday, October 24.
Start: 8 p.m. BST

Liverpool will look to return to the winning ways in the Champions League, as they will host the Red Star of Belgrade on Wednesday night.

The Jurgen Klopp Reds started Group C in style with a 3-2 victory over PSG, but then fell to a 1-0 defeat in Napoli to make life difficult.

Liverpool knows that the next double header against Red Star may be a good place to take charge, but six points are a necessity in what is becoming a tight group.

Red Star fans are banned from attending the Anfield game due to a punishment from Uefa for a launch invasion in the August Champions League qualifiers against RB Salzburg.

However, the Merseyside Police is planning a security operation since more than 1,000 Red Star fans traveled to the last game away from the club against PSG.

Head to head

These two teams have only met twice before, the first of which came exactly 45 years before the day before this game. Red Star was left without winners 2-1 in both stages of their 1973-74 European Cup tie to reach the quarterfinals.

In fact, Red Star was the team that inflicted Liverpool’s first European defeat at Anfield, and the second did not arrive for another 18 years.

Liverpool have no other experience of facing Serbian teams, but Red Star have lost just one of their last six visits to England, including a goalless draw with Arsenal at Emirates Stadium in the group stage of the Europa League season pass.

Barcelona vs Inter Milan
Uefa Champions League 2018/19
Place: Camp Nou
Date: Wednesday, October 24.
Start time: 8pm

Barcelona must do without Lionel Messi as the Spanish champions host Inter Milan in the Champions League.

Barca talisman Messi fractured his right arm in the weekend’s 4-2 win over Sevilla – an injury which keeps him out of both Wednesday night clash against Inter and Sunday’s The Clasico with Real Madrid.

The good news for Barca fans is that Ernesto Valverde’s men are sitting pretty at the top of Group B on six points, and should be in a strong position to qualify for the knockout stages as long as they avoid a home defeat to Inter.

Barca continued their simple 4-0 win over PSV Eindhoven on matchday one with a 4-2 triumph at Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month.

Lionel Messi scored a hat-trick in the first of those victories and then pulled the strings throughout the Wembley stadium, while Barça kept their perfect start in Group B.

However, despite his main creative talent for the coming weeks, with a fractured arm that keeps Messi on the sidelines during a key game race at home and on the continent, the other names of Barça stars must now intensify.

The match of the League next weekend with Real Madrid can wait for now, as the Catalan giants are not yet all over Europe, knowing that the loss to Inter will give the Spurs and PSV, which will face the same night, a great opportunity to close the gap.

However, losing matches at home is not something that Barça tends to do in the Champions League, having won 27 games since the last time in a race that dates back to September 2013.

Barça have won all their home games in the group stage in the last five editions of the competition, in fact, while their defeat in the quarterfinals against Roma in April is their only defeat at home or out at 12 exits to euros.

The men of Ernesto Valverde were recently four games without winning in La Liga, however, they dropped points to Girona and Athletic Bilbao here, as well as Leganes and Valencia in their travels, so they do not lose hope in Inter.

Like the opponents on Wednesday night, Barça, Inter also began their European campaign in style thanks to victories against Tottenham and PSV in the last five weeks.

However, the Nerazzurri did not do things exactly the easiest way in either game, as they had to recover from a defeated goal against the Spurs and also against PSV in their most recent outing.

Mauro Icardi and Matias Vecino were the heroes in the opening match, finding the net with quick fire goals in the last five minutes to get Inter started in a dream start, which they followed with a victory at the Philips Stadion.

The final goals seem to be something natural for Luciano Spalletti’s men, as they also found a way to win a massive 1-0 victory over AC Milan archrivals at San Siro on Sunday. Icardi returns to demonstrate the difference with his sixth. Goal in six games.

That victory leaves Inter six points adrift of champion Juventus, which is on track to achieve its eighth consecutive victory in the title, but the momentum is certainly on the side of Nerazzurri.

Paris Saint-Germain vs Napoli
8:00 pm Wednesday, October 24.
Parc des Princes

PSG and Napoli will meet at Parc des Princes in a UEFA Champions League Group C match. Both teams have some of the best attackers in Europe, but the hosts seem ready to launch a full match on Wednesday.

REASON FOR PSG VS NAPOLI BETTING TIPS

PSG were in top form once again over the weekend, crushing amiens 5-0 in Ligue 1. They have already opened an eight-point lead at the top of the table, crushing third-placed Lyon 5-0 before the international rupture However, we all know that the PSG thinks its own division an formality They have their eyes on a big prize, a first title of the Champions League. His group is far from easy, and this week the former boss Carlo Ancelotti takes his Napoli to Paris with the aim of causing discomfort.

The French champions have found themselves in Napoli in the Champions League so far, as they are a bit away from the leaders. The side of Ligue 1 is paying for a 3-2 defeat at Liverpool on opening day, and they have a lot of work to do on this competition. They have a squad that looks totally disjointed in key areas, but there is a lot of attacking talent. They have won last five games by a global score of 23-2, and should impress again here.

Napoli had a mixed start in Europe, with a 1-0 win over Liverpool Two Red Star dots could return to chase them, but first they should focus on a shock in Paris. They are definitely the quality of causing problems against a questionable PSG defense, with their 4-4-2 system that gives them a threat on the flanks and the presence in the front.

Visitors must enter the score sheet here, with PSG watching both teams score in their last six matches in the Champions League. The Partenopei has the quality to reach a goal, but have lost 2-1 on three of their last four trips out of the competition. We are backing the PSG to win and the two teams are scored, with the French champions having the quality score.

Kylian Mbpe has taken advantage of his star turn in the World Cup this season, and his form is lately is absolutely brilliant, and the striker hopes to bag another goal when he faces Napoli this week. He has nine goals in the clubHe has scored seven of those games in PSG, and he has found himself in the Champions League this season. We hope he will hit the Partenopei this week and continue to be his great form, and the striker has a better price.

Key stats

  • PSG has seen more than 3.5 goals in 4 of their last 5 days (competing in the contest).
  • PSG has won 6 of the last 8 years (UEFA Champions League)
  • PSG won the men’s 1 goal in 4 of the last 7 years (UEFA Champions League).
  • Napoli has lost 4 of their last 6 away matches (UEFA Champions League)
  • Napoli are tagged in least 1 goal in 7 of their last 8 home matches (UEFA Champions League)Verdict

Both teams are excellent in future and this is a festival of festivals. Egypt However, PSG has a great record at home and should sure win against their fans.

Best bet: PSG Win @ 1.50 – 6 Units
Value Bet: PSG Win & Over 3.5 goals @ 2.77 – 2 Units

Roma vs CSKA Moscow| Live® Stream™ Online TV

HIGHLIGHTS

The city of Moscow in its Stadio Olimpico is in the qualifiers of the Champions League. The Romans beat Viktoria Plzen 5-0 in the last games of the group and not in the surprise that they are favorites to win the football match on Tuesday. The Giallorossi are a real force to keep in mind at home and in the same place that Edin Dzeko has been scoring goals to have fun in recent times. CSKA, on the other hand, proved their worth in a historic 1-0 victory over Real Madrid, but defeating Roma at the Olympic Stadium is easier said than done. At their last meeting in the “Eternal City”, the Roma beat CSKA Moscow 5-1, in which they found the reason for the victory at home.

This match will be played on 10/24/2018 at 01:00

FEATURED PLAYER

(ALESSANDRO FLORENZI):
Alessandro Florenzi is probably the most impressive product of the youth academy of AS Roma since Francesco Totti and Daniele De Rossi, and the complete defender has already become an important player for the club and the country. The talented footballer, able to operate with both the right-back and the right-back, is probably best remembered for scoring a wonderful goal from midway in the Champions League match against Barcelona, but there’s a lot more for him than an occasional surprise blow. While he usually played as an extreme during his early career, Florenzi switched to the defense attack on both the national team of Rome and Italy, and that turned out to be a very good play for his career. While helping the Gialorossi to return to the old days of glory, the right-back also left his mark on the international stage, especially impressive since Antonio Conte took charge of the reigns in the national team. Although he has not yet realized his full potential, Florenzi already has an impressive high-flying experience and a bright future is anticipated in the game.

HIGHLIGHTED TEAM (CSKA MOSCOW):

CSKA Moscow
The most prominent division of the CSKA Moscow sports club, the Armeitsy as they are commonly referred to in Russia were founded in 1911 and were the official team of the Soviet Army during the communist era. Since the dissolution of the Soviet Union, PFC CSKA Moscow have been become a privately owned club, with the Ministry of Defence as a shareholder. The Army Men are one of the most successful clubs in Russian football with a rich legacy and extensive heritage both in modern era and in Soviet football alike CSKA Moscom won seven Soviet championship titles, while they have also added six Russian Premier League title for the total tally of 13 major domestic honours. CSKA Moscow also boast a remarkable record at the international level as well with the Armeitsy winning the UEFA Cup in 2005 having beaten Sporting CP to become the first ever Russian club to win a major European title. During the last decade CSKA Moscow reached UEFA Champions League quarter-finals in 2010 and the knockout stage the following year.

Hoffenheim will face their UEFA Champions League home match against Lyon on Tuesday, driven by Saturday’s comeback by Reiss Nelson in Nuremberg (start: 9 pm CEST / 8pm BST / 3pm ET).

The teenager Nelson crowned his first start in the Bundesliga with a reinforcement for the match since TSG came from behind in Bavaria. Coach Julian Nagelsmann will expect more of the same from the England Under-21 international, who also scored an impressive free kick for his country during the international break, when Lyon arrives in Sinsheim. Hoffenheim, who finished third in the Bundesliga last season, will face this match against their French counterparts with confidence in the back of that result, as they head for the first Champions League victory.

Lyon recovered from a 5-0 defeat at Paris Saint-Germain by beating Nimes 2-0 on Friday, but a long list of injuries leaves coach Bruno Genesio with no options for the trip to Sinsheim. The captain of the club, Nabil Fekir, is ruled out by an ankle injury, which could also cause him to miss the reverse match in France. However, the attacking trio of Memphis Depay, Moussa Dembele and Bertrand Traore still represent a threat of goal for the leaders of Group F. TSG forward Ishak Belfodil spent four years under contract in Lyon.

Manchester United vs Juventus
Uefa Champions League 2018/19
Venue: Old Trafford
Date: Tuesday, 23 October
Kick-off: 8pm BST

Manchester United welcomes Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford, as José Mourinho faces another big test against the Italian champion Juventus.

Ronaldo returns to Manchester amid accusations that he sexually assaulted a woman in the United States in 2009, an accusation that the former Old Trafford forward vigorously denies.

The 33-year-old Portugal international is available after completing a one-match suspension after a red card against Valencia, and Mourinho’s defense, out of the ordinary this season, will be tasked with stopping the top scorer the season in the Champions League.

The two sides have met 12 times in Uefa competitions, each of which wins five games and shares two draws.

The last time they met in the Champions League was in 2002-03, with United beating Juve 2-1 at home and 3-0 in the second group stage.

United fans will also fondly remember the dramatic semi-final comeback in Juve en route to lifting the 1998-99 Champions League trophy to complete the 3-pointers.

The game will be broadcast live by BT Sport 2. BT Sport subscribers will be able to broadcast the match online through the video player and the BT Sport application.

You can follow all the action on the Standard Sport LIVE blog with James Robson at Old Trafford.

Julen Lopetegui could get a morale victory against Viktoria Plzen on Tuesday night with the budding Classic.

The Whites started the 2018-19 campaign in an unconnected way, with the club feeling the effects of losing Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo in the same summer.

Real should have few problems against Czech champion Plzen, but could achieve it with a few goals, and a clean sheet, to gain confidence before his trip on October 28 to Camp Nou to face Lionel Messi and Barcelona.

The holders of the Champions League also have work to do to have the opportunity to retain their trophy, with a defeat at CSKA Moscow in the week of game 2 leaving Group G in the balance.

• Levante defeated Madrid 2-1 at home on Saturday, extending their career without a win to five games (D1 L4) that go back to September 22. That represents its worst sequence of results since May 2009 (L5).

• Marcelo scored in the 72nd minute of Saturday, Madrid’s first goal in five games. His 482-minute unadjusted run is a club record, surpassing the previous total of 464 minutes set in April 1985.

• Sergio Ramos was the target of a 3-2 defeat at Spain’s home against England in the League of Nations on October 15; he had also scored in the 4-1 friendly win against Wales four days earlier.

• A penalty by Toni Kroos gave Germany the lead in France in the UEFA League of Nations on October 16, its 14th goal in 90 internationals, although the visitors lost 2-1.

• Gareth Bale returned as a part-time substitute on Saturday, having been out with a muscle problem since the 1-0 defeat at Alavés on 6 October, when Karim Benzema was withdrawn at halftime with a thigh injury. The Frenchman was replaced for 60 minutes against Levante on Saturday.

• Isco had been out of action since September 22 with appendicitis but started against Levante.

• A problem with the calves has kept Dani Carvajal out from the second day.

• Real Madrid were beaten 4-2 by Atlético neighbors in the UEFA Super Cup on August 15, their first final defeat in the international competition since losing to Boca Juniors in the 2000 European-South American Cup.

• Luka Modrić was voted the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year for 2017/18 on 30 August. The Croatian also picked up the award for the UEFA Champions League midfielder, with his club mates Keylor Navas and Sergio Ramos collecting the prizes for the Goalkeeper and the Defender, respectively.

Plzeň
• Plzeň suffered three consecutive away defeats in all competitions: conceding 12 goals when losing in Slavia Praha (0-4) and Jablonec (0-3) in the Czech league, in addition to the 5-0 reverse in Rome in the second day – before the victory in the Czech Cup 5-1 in Vyškov on October 11. They were 2-2 in Bohemians on Friday.

• The result of Rome was Plzeň’s strongest defeat since a 5-0 defeat at Slavia in May 2016.

• Twelve of the 17 goals in the Plze this league this season have been scored in the last 30 minutes of games, including seven in the last 15.

• Michael Krmenčík scored in the 2-1 victory of the UEFA League of the Czech Republic in Slovakia on 13 October.

• Radim Řezník (concussion) and Lukáš Hejda (muscle) missed the Czech Republic’s matches against Slovakia and Ukraine due to injury, although both played in the Bohemians on Friday.

• Jan Kopic has been sidelined since Plzeň’s 1-0 victory against Sparta on September 28 due to an ankle injury.

• The official club shirts for the UEFA Champions League group stage feature a logo that promotes the national registry of bone marrow donors on the back. All Plzeň senior and sub-19 players have joined the registry.
